Today, we’re moving westwards. Odense & Hans Christian Andersen first...
After crossing the famous Great Belt bridge we finally parked in Odense. People are so friendly here, wherever i am about to open a map to look for the address, they stop, ask if they can help me. This is what is happening everyday.
Museum is excellent, i wished i could stay here a day or better more. Lots of information, movies and the friendly stuff. The lady (staff) saw me buying for my kids an English version of an Andersen’s fairy-tale, she was so happy to hear that i was going to read my kids in a foreign language.
The museum was a 5star. Then, we visited 10min further the house where H.CH.Andersen grew up. It was a smaller exhibition, but interesting too.
Then, we left this interesting city (3rd largest in Denmark) and headed to Jelling to see UNESCO sight.
To know details about Denmark’s first kings Gomar the old and his son Harald Bluetooth. The museum we have entered was new full of newest technologies, shows. Amazing. We spent there almost 3hrs, were the last guests ;)
The Vikings, their way of life, the first two famous kings and a lot more. Now, a stop in Vejle to have a diner. We chose a harbour restaurant Remouladen where we ate a typical Danish fish with boiled potatos. A good decision.
We finished the day in Aarhus (2nd largest). Preparations for the next day and good night.
