We've checked in at the Hotel Park Inn (built during the Communist era, now reconstructed), it has a great location on Alexanderplatz and "only" 1012 rooms ;) Our rooms are on the 33rd floor, pretty cool ;).. I was just thinking that what if the elevator is not working...
We started with Alexanderplatz, went to see Pergamon Museum (client was very much interested into Babylon.. Ischtar gate etc..).
Great museum with tons of information.
After several hours spent in this museum, lunch break and talks about WW2, Cold War.. Client then decided to see "Check point Charlie" museum. Also a very interesting, informative exhibition about the Berlin Wall (1961-89). Again, for few hours.
Dinner break and last long stroll through royal boulevard "Unter den Linden" and talks about city's evolution from a pagan fishing village into a capital of Prussia - a centre the Enlightement under Frederik the Great.. also about Napoleon's occupation up to Bismack's German Empire.
Brandenburg gate, Hotel Adlon and walk back.. Finish for today ;)
To Travel or not to Travel in 2016?
Some clients are asking me such kind of questions...
Well, all places we have visited so far are calm, i am always thinking that according to the "newspapers and/or medias" in general, we should not travel. On the contrary. Vienna..Prague and also Berlin are safe and there is a friendly atmosphere in the streets. (Just the temperature could have been higher ;))
Then, travel now if you feel fine. So you can enjoy now. ;)
Tomorrow > drive to Rostock town (harbour) and from there by ferry to reach Denmark. Start of the Scandinavian portion of the trip.
Can't wait ;)
